Why Not Worcester???
In a JetBlue press release:
JetBlue announced Sunday that it would be adding flights from Boston to Atlanta for the Super Bowl weekend.
According to a press release from the company, it will add flights and operate larger aircraft to help New England Patriots fans get to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the Super Bowl on Feb. 3.
The increase in flights will run every day between Friday Feb. 1 and Monday Feb. 4.
According to JetBlue, the change will result in a 70 percent increase in capacity for fans looking to fly to the big game.
Considering there is a government shutdown causing long lines in Boston, would it not make sense to get a few of these flights to depart from Worcester?? Worcester Airport has not marketing and a huge image problem.
Something like this, and keeping an airport open during a storm, goes a long way th changing the perception of Worcester Airport.
PS Tonight's inbound from NYC scheduled to come in at 2:17AM

Probably 95% of people in Worcester can't afford to attend a Super Bowl. Probably 95% of people outside our area (Metro-West and Boston) don't know ORH exists. Also, maybe people going would like to fly direct rather than connecting through the busy JFK or PHI hubs. Go Patriots!!!

Common Sense, you can not be serious??? BTW, the flights Jetblue is adding our direct flights from Boston to Atlanta for the Super Bowl., not stopping at JFK . We weere suggesting that Massport could try to get some of these added flight to originate in Worcester for the Super Bowl. It would be great marketing for Worcester Airport.

You guys have fallen into fantasy land again. What makes you think JB is going to do anything to market or enhance their service here? They won't even do minimal marketing to make the JFK service succeed. Massport should be greatful they haven't cancelled that route.

Hard to disagree with common sense on his point. Last year they added out of Providence but this year only Logan.
