Invest over $100 million, but forget about marketing Worcester Airport
At the last announcement for Delta service that will start next August last week, you heard that over 100 million has been invested into Worcester Airport. We had two thoughts when we heard that number.
First, unlike the 100 million being invested to get the PawSox to Worcester, which has the tax-payers of Worcester co-signing. None of this money invested into the airport is being supported solely by the taxpayers of Worcester. Good thing we got out of the airport business and sold the airport to Massport!!!
Second, as we have stated many times here on this blog, if it were not for Massport, we would none of the commercial services we have right now nor any of the many infrastructure improvements, like CAT III. That does not mean that they have done everything right.

We need someone like Worcester native Denis Leary to help us get the word out. Some will say he will cost too much money to get him, we say it costs too much not the get a return on the 100+ million that has been invested into Worcester Airport.
American Airlines starts two flights per day to their hub in Philadelphia on October 4th and nobody knows about it? Is that not proof that we need a plan!!!
